What we offer:

  • Professional intermediate- and advance-level trainings that are created, implemented, and evaluated according to the specific needs of organizations and individual health care providers. These trainings may range in length from 2 hours to 2 days and are offered in English and Spanish.

Best Practices for HIV Prevention among Trans People

We have also developed an exciting 4-hour interactive course titled "Best Practices for HIV Prevention among Trans People." The course goals are to:

  • Help health care providers and social service professionals understand the unique HIV prevention needs of transgender people living with or at risk of acquiring HIV infection
  • Build capacity of individuals to provide effective, culturally competent HIV services for transgender people

Note: Although we are a statewide organization, we do not have sufficient resources to provide "Transgender 101" or basic transgender awareness trainings because of the large number of requests. You may contact us and we can easily refer you to an organization or educational consultant that may assist you.
